The shortlist for the 2012 Booksellers’ Choice Awards has been announced. Two of the five finalists are novels (The Parihaka Woman by Witi Ihimaera, and The Conductor by Sarah Quigley), and another is a collection of essays and poems (The Broken Book by Fiona Farrell).
The remaining two finalists are New Zealand’s Native Trees by John Dawson and Rob Lucas, and Te Araroa, a Walking Guide to New Zealand’s Long Trail by Geoff Chapple. Geographx supplied the maps in both these books.
