Update on the Earth Platinum Atlas

I was down at the National Library today to see the atlas fitted into a new custom-built, multi-functional, steel contraption that is effectively a permanent storage case, a trolley and a display stand all rolled into one. It means the big book can now be moved around by one person instead of six. When not on display the atlas is stored in a controlled environment at 18 degrees Celcius and 45% humidity. Keeping an eye on proceedings here is Mark Bagnall, Curator of the National Library and the Alexander Turnbull Library Cartographic Collections.
